Laser Hair Removal

Smooth Skin, Simplified

Enjoy long-lasting hair reduction with safe, effective laser treatments tailored to your skin, hair, and goals. Our personalized approach helps you achieve smoother skin with greater confidence and less time spent shaving, waxing, or tweezing.

Our Personalized Approach

Laser hair removal isn’t just cosmetic. For many clients, it has become a solution to deeper concerns that affect both comfort and confidence.

At Natural Essence Spa, our laser technician, Ally, takes a personalized approach to every treatment. Many people initially come in for cosmetic reasons, but after a detailed consultation and inspection of the treatment area, Ally is able to identify and target your specific laser needs.

Laser hair removal can help address concerns that many people believe they simply have to live with—such as folliculitis, ingrown hairs, recurring irritation from shaving or waxing, and excessive hair growth related to conditions like PCOS. PCOS can contribute to increased hair growth due to hormonal imbalances, and many clients seek laser treatments to better manage these symptoms. Laser hair removal treatments are performed with the goal of achieving permanent hair reduction.

In some cases, clients also experience recurring cysts in areas affected by hair growth. With consistent and properly planned laser treatments, some cysts can be reduced or even eliminated. In many situations, regular laser treatments may help prevent them from returning and can sometimes help clients avoid more invasive procedures to treat them.

If you experience these concerns—whatever the underlying cause—Ally takes great pride in ensuring each client receives the care and attention they need. Every client’s skin, hair type, and concerns are different, so each treatment plan is carefully tailored to achieve the best possible results.

Clients come to us with questions and leave with clear answers, a customized treatment plan, and thorough aftercare instructions to support their skin while treatments progress toward the desired outcome.

Not Eligible for Treatment:

  • If you have an autoimmune disorder (e.g., Lupus, Scleroderma, Vitiligo) or Epilepsy, you are not a candidate for laser hair removal due to safety concerns. The laser emits flashes of light that may trigger seizures.
  • If you have a history of melanoma, raised moles, suspicious lesions, keloid scarring, healing problems, active infections, open wounds, hives, cold sores, herpes, tattoos, or permanent makeup in the treatment area, that area will be avoided during treatment.

Medications & Products:

  • No use of Accutane, Tetracycline, or St. John’s Wort within 12 months of your session. Avoid photosensitizing medications (such as certain antibiotics) for at least 1 week prior.

Hair Removal Prep:

  • Do not wax, pluck, use depilatory creams, or undergo electrolysis in the area within 6 weeks of your treatment. Shaving is permitted.
  • Arrive with the treatment area cleanly shaved. A $20 shaving fee may apply if not shaved properly per area.

Skin Care Before Treatment:

  • Avoid tanning (including self-tanner) for 4 weeks before your session.
  • Discontinue use of exfoliating agents (e.g., Retin-A, alpha/beta hydroxy acids, harsh toners) for 1 week prior to treatment.

During Treatment

  • Treatment areas must be cleanly shaved on the day of your appointment.
  • Topical anesthetic is optional and available for purchase at our clinic.
  • Please do not wear makeup, deodorant, or perfume on the area to be treated.
  • Protective eyewear will be provided and must be worn by everyone in the treatment room for safety.

Immediately After Treatment:

  • You may experience redness (erythema) and swelling (edema) around hair follicles. This is normal and may last from a few hours to a few days.
  • The treated area may feel like a mild sunburn. Use Vensa Healing Cream or cooling packs (available at our clinic) to soothe the skin.

Skin Care:

  • You may apply makeup if the skin is not irritated.
  • Avoid sun exposure and always use SPF 30+ to prevent hyperpigmentation.
  • Do not pick or scratch the area. Avoid loofahs, abrasive scrubs, or exfoliating washes for at least 5 days.
  • If scabbing occurs, apply Vensa Healing Cream twice daily to keep the skin moisturized.

Hair Shedding:

  • Between 5–14 days after treatment, treated hair will shed. This can look like new growth—this is normal. Exfoliate all treatment areas to help with the shedding process. Be firm but safe.

Underarm Care:

  • After underarm treatments, consider using powder instead of deodorant for 48 hours to reduce irritation.

Activity Restrictions:

  • Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for 3 days.
  • You may bathe normally, but use cool water and avoid irritating or exfoliating products.
